Dr. (Mrs.) Theresa Y. Baah-Ennumh is a senior lecturer at the Department of Planning, KNUST- Kumasi, Ghana. She is a Development Planner with special interest in mining, livelihood and environmental sustainability, gender issues, governance, development administration and management. Her current research activities are in mining, gender, governance, local economic development. She has over sixteen (16) years professional experience in the planning profession both as an academic and consultant. As an academic, she has taught, researched into and supervised students in urban governance, gender issues, governance of development, development administration and management, local economic development, spatial planning, geography for planners among others.As a planning consultant for the past 16 years, Theresa has provided consultancy services in gender related issues, Local Governance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social and Economic Impact Assessment and Sustainable Alternative Livelihoods in mining communities. She has also facilitated a number of international and local workshops on, mining gender and governance issues.She is capable of blending participatory appraisal techniques with structured methodologies to elicit stakeholder concerns on development projects in both urban and rural settings. Dr. Baah-Ennumh has extensive knowledge in the use of qualitative data collection methods such as focus group discussions to elicit stakeholder concerns and inputs into project feasibility, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.  She has been involved with others in providing consultancy services in the planning and implementation of numerous development projects; project monitoring and evaluation.  She therefore brings on board a professional blend of academic research, gender analysis, issues on mining and practical planning, local governance and development practice.  Her research activities have yielded a number of publications, some of which have been listed in this CV.  Notable examples of her consultancy assignments have been outlined below.
