About

Sylvester is a Medical Entomologist with interest in vector-borne disease research and control.  He pioneered the establishment of a robust entomological monitoring program for the PMI IRS program in northern Ghana. He also played a major role in the selection of sites and training of field teams for insecticide resistance monitoring across the different regions of Ghana.  He has thorough technical knowledge on entomological surveillance for malaria vector control, with over 12years experience.

Research Summary

(inferred from publications by AI)

The researcher's focus centers on enhancing insecticide formulations for pest control, developing integrated vector-borne disease prevention strategies (including malaria), studying mosquito biology and transmission dynamics in different ecological zones, and examining the environmental impacts of microplastics on mosquito vectors.
