About

I hold B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Computer Science from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria (1987 and 1993 respectively) and Ph.D from The University of Salford, Manchester (2015). I have over 15 years of experience in teaching and research at Polytechnic and University level.I have been a Faculty member in the Department of Computer Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi since April, 2001 and have taught several courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The courses I have taught include Operating Systems, Advance Programming With Visual Basic, Advance Programming With C++, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems Database Concepts and Applications and Internet Technologies, Computer Graphics and Human Computer Interactions.I have supervised more than 60 final-year undergraduate projects and more than 25 M.Sc and M.Phil theses. My primary research areas includeMy Ph.D research and thesis was on Using Virtual Learning Environment to Support Teaching and Learning and Bridging Digital Divide Between Urban and Rural Communities in Ghana, a topic around which I have made about 8 presentations at International Conferences and refereed publications in International journals. Details of these are listed in the publication section. I subscribe to the Constructivism and Connectivism philosophies of teaching and the Interpretivism research paradigm.
