Prof.  Linda Ahenkorah Fondjo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular Medicine in the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, Ghana.  She hold a PhD. in Chemical Pathology  and an M.ED in Higher Education Pedagogy from KNUST. Her research has focuses on elucidating pathophysiology, molecular characterisation, biomarkers identification for early prediction and management of maternal, neonatal and reproductive health conditions. She has particular interest in Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (preeclampsia), Breast cancer,  and other non-communicable diseases- Diabetes and Hypertension as well as Mental Health and Vitamin D Studies. She teaches Biochemistry and Chemical Pathology to Medical, Allied Health Sciences and Biomedical Engineering undergraduate and supervise graduate (Masters & PhD) students.  Prof. Fondjo had her postdoc training at the University of Michigan as a UMAPS Scholar (UMAPS) where she characterized breast cancer tissues from African and African-American descent. In 2019 she was honored as an Affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences.  She serves on Editorial boards of several reputable journals and funding agencies. She is also a reviewer for   leading journals including PLOS ONE, BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, BMC Public Health, Scientific Reports,etc. She serves on various committees within and outside the university and also serves  as External Assesor for various tertiary institutions within the country. She is a member of Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC), the Convention of Biomedical Research, Ghana (CoBReG), Ghana Science Association (GSA), The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing world (OWSD) and Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (WiSTEM) Ghana. She is a strong advocate for women in STEM education, and is currently the secretary for the Organization for Women in Science for the developing world (OWSD)- Ghana Chapter. She also chairs the Research and Scientific committee of Action on Preeclampsia Ghana (APEC-GH) and is a mentor for the African Research Academy for Women (ARAW-Gh) Ghana, the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), WiSTEM/MasterCard Foundation, KNUST. She was appointed as the Senior Hall Tutor for Africa Hall, one of the six traditional halls of residence on KNUST campus from 2020-2024 and was subsequently appointed as Hall Warden (Dean) for the same Africa Hall from November, 2024- October, 2026. She is currently the Head of the Department of Molecular Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences, in the College of Health Sciences, KNUST.
