Kwame Ohene Djan started his education in Ghana and completed his BSc (Hons) Business Administration degree in Accounting from the KNUST School of Business, Ghana in 2011. After graduation, he served for one year at the Department of Accounting and Finance as a Research and Teaching Assistant. Upon completion of his National Service, he gained a fully-funded scholarship under the Norwegian Government's Quota Scholarship Scheme to pursue a 2-year MSc Business Administration degree with specialization in International Management and Strategy at the University of Agder, Kristiansand Norway. Subsequently, he enrolled on the PhD International Management programme (AACSB Accredited) at the University of Agder in 2015 and completed by Decemebr 2018. In August 2020, he was appointed as a full-time lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Corporate Strategy, KNUST School of Business where he teaches courses in International Business and Strategic Management. His research interest are in areas such as social entrepreneurship and governance issues in microfinance. Kwame has published in internationally recognized journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management and Governance, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Strategic Change and others. Kwame has also participated in International conferences such as the European International Business Academy (EIBA 2018) held in Poland. He also participated in the Biennial Conferences of the Center for European Research in Microfinance (CERMi) in 2017 and 2019 held at the University of Porthsmouth, UK and the Paris Daulphine University, France, respectively. Kwame is also an affiliate scholar with the Center for Research in Social Enterprises and Microfinance -CERSEM (cersem.uia.no) at the Uiniversity of Agder, Kristiansand Norway.
