About

I am a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Silviculture and Forest Management, Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi – Ghana. I have a PhD from Wageningen University, based on transdisciplinary research at the interphase of forest policy and education sciences.I am passionate about promoting responsible forested landscape governance in Ghana and beyond through research in three main focal areas:My strong believe in research for impact drives my action research and engagement with several government agencies, non-governmental organisations and local communities. Through a Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) funded assignment, I have created a mechanism for gender-transformative curriculum development for Agricultural Technical and Vocational Training and Education (ATVET). Currently, I am developing and implementing a fire management concept for two landscapes in Ghana with Forestry Research Institute of Ghana in collaboration with AROCHA and Tropenbos Ghana under the GIZ funded Forest landscape restoration through a sustainable wood energy value chain project.
