About

Emmanuel Kwame Appiah-Adjei joined the Department of Geological Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana in 2007 and is currently a Professor. His background is in Geological Engineering and has a doctorate in Hydrology and Water Resources with specialty in Hydrogeology. He teaches, mainly, Hydrology and Hydrogeology related courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at KNUST.His research interest is, primarily, in hydrogeology with emphasis on groundwater management and focuses mainly on groundwater sustainability for agriculture and domestic use, recharge modelling, groundwater quality and pollution control, transport processes in fractured media, and climate change applications in groundwater management. He also has related interest in hydrogeophysics and is always keen to supervise graduate students who wish to pursue careers in hydrogeology and related fields.
