Dr. (Mrs.) Blissbern Appiagyei Osei-Owusu is an environmental scientist with a strong focus on sustainable waste management practices and bioresources valorization technologies. Her research is pivotal in advancing sustainable waste management strategies, particularly in developing countries, emphasizing landfill gas mitigation and waste-to-energy solutions.Dr. Appiagyei Osei-Owusu holds a PhD in Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management from the Civil Engineering Department of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), funded by the World Bank under the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre, Kumasi (RWESCK). Her doctoral research, "Enhancing Biogas Recovery from Anaerobic Co-digestion of Human Excreta and Food Waste using Response Surface Method and Biochar Additives," explored innovative approaches to enhancing biogas production, facilitating better waste management practices.Additionally, Dr. Appiagyei Osei-Owusu earned an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) under the prestigious Building Stronger Universities Master Scholarship by DANIDA.
